5 OPEN ROLES
MCP AI Platform Engineer
TS/SCI Required Platform Engineering Senior / Expert Remote · CONUS
About the Role
You are the person who makes Fulcrum's MCP layer work at the protocol level. This is an expert-level AI engineering role focused on tool calling, agent-to-agent communication, and MCP server architecture inside classified environments. You will own the integration layer between Fulcrum's runtime and the LLM providers — Claude, GPT-4o, Gemini, Grok, LeapfrogAI — ensuring secure, low-latency, model-agnostic operation at IL5 and IL6.
What You Will Build
  • MCP tool servers with production-grade error handling, retry logic, and auditability
  • OAuth 2.1 and short-lived token authentication flows for agent sessions
  • Row-level security and RBAC enforcement at the MCP protocol layer
  • Model-agnostic adapter interfaces for each LLM provider
  • STIG-compliant runtime hardening for IL5 and IL6 operating environments
Requirements
  • Active TS/SCI clearance — non-negotiable
  • Expert-level AI engineering experience — you have shipped AI systems in production, not just prototypes
  • Deep hands-on knowledge of MCP (Model Context Protocol), tool calling, and function calling across at least two major LLM APIs
  • Experience with OAuth 2.1, JWT, and zero-trust authentication architectures
  • Comfort working in classified networks, air-gapped environments, or IL5-equivalent systems
  • Python or TypeScript fluency; Node.js experience preferred
U.S. citizenship required. TS/SCI polygraph eligibility preferred. Salary range commensurate with clearance level and experience.
Full Stack AI Developer Engineer
Product Engineering New Role Remote · CONUS
About the Role
You will build the full product stack — from the backend API and agent orchestration layer to the user-facing workspace interface. Fulcrum is a collaboration platform for humans and AI agent teams, and you will be building the features that make that collaboration fast, intuitive, and defensible. This role spans the entire stack and requires someone who is genuinely excited about AI-native product development, not just AI as a feature.
What You Will Build
  • Real-time messaging, task management, and @mention routing for human-agent workspaces
  • Context Vault: persistent shared memory for agent teams across sessions
  • Human-in-the-Loop gate UI — approval flows, provenance tracking, audit logs
  • REST and streaming API endpoints for MCP tool integration
  • Dashboard and analytics for agent team performance and task completion
Requirements
  • 3+ years full stack development with strong TypeScript/Node.js backend and React/Next.js frontend
  • Hands-on experience integrating LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, or equivalent) into production applications
  • Familiarity with WebSocket or SSE for real-time features
  • Comfort with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases, including row-level security patterns
  • U.S. citizenship required; clearance preferred but not required to start
U.S. citizenship required. Clearance sponsorship available for the right candidate.
DevSecOps Engineer
TS/SCI Required Security Engineering Remote · CONUS
About the Role
Fulcrum's path to IL5 accreditation runs through a DevSecOps engineer who understands what that journey actually requires. You will own the pipeline, the hardening, the STIG compliance, and the authorization package work that gets Fulcrum from IL2 to IL5 to IL6. This is not a checkbox role — it is the engineering work that creates the moat.
What You Will Own
  • CI/CD pipeline security — SBOM generation, container scanning, secret management
  • DISA STIG implementation and continuous compliance monitoring
  • IL5 authorization package preparation in partnership with Second Front Game Warden
  • Zero-trust network architecture for air-gapped and classified deployments
  • Kubernetes hardening (UDS Core / Zarf packaging) for tactical edge deployments
  • ATO documentation, POA&M tracking, and ISSO coordination
Requirements
  • Active TS/SCI clearance required
  • Hands-on experience with DoD IL4/IL5 environments and DISA STIGs
  • ATO or RMF experience — you have been through the process, not just read about it
  • Kubernetes, Helm, and container security in DoD or FedRAMP contexts
  • Familiarity with Platform One, Big Bang, or Iron Bank preferred
  • DoD 8570 / 8140 certification (Security+, CISSP, or equivalent) preferred
Active TS/SCI required on day one. Polygraph eligibility a strong plus. Remote with occasional SCIF access required.

Design
1 OPEN ROLE
UI/UX & Frontend Developer
Design Engineering New Role Remote · CONUS
About the Role
Most defense software looks like it was designed in 2007. Fulcrum is the exception. You will design and build the human-facing side of a platform that warfighters, analysts, and program offices will use daily — and you will make it fast, clear, and genuinely good to use. This is a hybrid design and engineering role: you should be able to move from a Figma wireframe to a React component in the same day.
What You Will Own
  • Workspace UI: the human-agent collaboration interface where users message, task, and coordinate with AI agent teams
  • Human-in-the-Loop approval interfaces — clarity and precision under pressure
  • Design system: components, tokens, dark-mode-first patterns built for classified environments
  • Public-facing marketing and platform pages (you have seen what is possible)
  • Mobile-responsive layouts for operational use cases across devices
Requirements
  • Strong visual design instincts and an eye for typography, spacing, and motion
  • Figma proficiency for rapid prototyping and design system management
  • React and CSS fluency — you build what you design
  • Experience designing for data-dense, real-time, or mission-critical interfaces is a significant plus
  • Portfolio required — show us something that proves you care about craft
  • U.S. citizenship required; clearance not required to start
Link your portfolio or GitHub in your application. Remote position. Clearance sponsorship available.
Enterprise Sales
1 OPEN ROLE
U.S. Military Enterprise Sales Representative
TS/SCI Required 20+ Years Experience All Branches Remote · CONUS
About the Role
This is not a traditional SaaS sales role. You know the difference between a PM and a PO, between a COR and a CO, and between a pilot and a program. You have spent two decades building relationships inside the branches of service, and you understand how AI technology actually gets adopted at the IL6 level and above — not how it gets piloted and forgotten. You will be the person who takes Fulcrum from platform to program.
What You Will Drive
  • Program office relationships across Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Space Force, and Coast Guard
  • Task order and IDIQ vehicle positioning — SHIELD, SEWP, GSA, and emerging AI contract vehicles
  • Golden Dome and missile defense program access and pipeline development
  • AFWERX, DARPA, and SOCOM rapid acquisition pathway navigation
  • Coordination with the Citadel Network advisory team to open congressional and Pentagon doors
  • Enterprise deal structuring: platform licenses, deployment contracts, and recurring ARR
Requirements
  • 20+ years of experience selling technology into U.S. military branches — program office-level relationships required, not just contracting awareness
  • Active TS/SCI clearance
  • Deep, current knowledge of AI adoption challenges at IL5 and IL6 — you have been in the room where it actually matters
  • Understanding of warfighter needs at the operational level: not demos for CISO teams, but capability conversations with people who plan and execute missions
  • Familiarity with DoD acquisition pathways: OTA, CSO, SBIR, and traditional FAR
  • Existing relationships with at least two of the following: SOCOM, CYBERCOM, MDA, Space Force, AFWERX, or equivalent major commands
Compensation includes base salary, commission on booked ARR, and equity participation. This role will carry significant equity given its strategic importance to the raise and growth trajectory.
